πΎ Brisbane International (WTA 500)
Aryna Sabalenka (1) vs. Marta Kostyuk (16) Sabalenka seems destined for a repeat title in Brisbane. But, Kostyuk has been the giant killer of the tournament, taking down Amanda Anisimova, Mirra Andreeva, and trouncing Jessica Pegula, 6-0, 6-3, in the semis.
And yet... Sabalenka has never come close to losing to Kostyuk and probably won't tonight.
πΎ Brisbane International (ATP 250)
Daniil Medvedev (1) vs. Brandon Nakashima Medvedev is hunting his 22nd title in 22 different cities. Nakashima is seeking just his 2nd career title and looking to solidify his status as a real-deal top 30 player.
After breaking his massive title drought just a few months ago, look for Meddy to take the title for a confidence boost ahead of Melbourne.
πΎ Hong Kong Open (ATP 250)
Lorenzo Musetti (1) vs. Alexander Bublik (2) Musetti is chasing his first title since Hamburg 2022, a 2.5-year drought that includes finals losses to Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. Bublik could crack the top 10 with a title this week. And given where he was about 5 months ago, that is insane.
I hate to say it... but I'm thinking Bublik's gonna hand Lore another helping of heartbreak.
πΎ ASB Classic (WTA 250)
Elina Svitolina (1) vs. Xinyu Wang (7) Svitolina is hunting her 19th career title in Auckland and just has massive aura this week. A win has felt inevitable even in her epic tussle with Sonay Kartal in the quarterfinals.
Wang is seeking her first WTA title after losing the WTA 500 Berlin final to Marketa VondrouΕ‘ovΓ‘ last year. A win would be extra special as she was demolished by Svitolina (6-2, 6-1) at Wimbledon last year.
But... I'm set on Svitolina. Straight sets.
