🔥 Welcome to the Top 10 A year ago, Victoria Mboko was ranked #213 in the world, playing an ITF35 in Manchester, England. Today, she dispatched Jelena Ostapenko, 6-3, 6-2, to reach her 2nd WTA 1000 final and guarantee a top 10 debut on Monday. The 19yo will be the 4th Canadian woman to reach the upper echelon since rankings began in 1975.

👀 The Long Game Karolina Muchova rallies from a set and a break down to dispatch Maria Sakkari, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1, and reach the Doha final. The Czech seeks her 2nd career title, her only previous one coming over 6 years ago in Seoul. Muchova is 1-5 in tour-level finals despite 3 slam semifinals and a former Top 10 ranking.

🎯 Walking Wounded Taylor Fritz survives a new elbow scare and Sebastian Korda to win his quarterfinal in Dallas, 6-7², 6-4, 7-6⁵. At 4-5 in the 1st set, an awkward backhand flick sent Fritz to the physio with a jolt of pain so intense he could barely grip his racquet. With painkillers finally kicking in, Fritz fires 22 aces, saves all 4 break points, and escapes when Korda misfires on consecutive forehands while serving at 5-4 in the tiebreak.

🔥 Riding High in Holland Alex de Minaur outlasts home favorite Botic van de Zandschulp, 3-6, 7-6⁴, 7-5, to reach his 3rd consecutive Rotterdam semifinal. The top-seeded Australian is just the 2nd player in tournament history to accomplish the feat, after Tom Okker in 1974-76. De Minaur is 15-2 on Dutch soil since 2024 and has been a runner-up the last 2 years.

👴 Jumpin' Jack Flash Marin Cilic advances to the Dallas semifinals with a 6-1, 6-4, dismissal of qualifier Jack Pinnington Jones. Pinnington Jones, a 22yo Brit who left Texas Christian University last May to turn pro full-time, departs Dallas with wins over world #20 Flavio Cobolli and #68 Eliot Spizzirri, and will rise 43 spots to world #138.

🔥 Home Cooking Tomas Martin Etcheverry completes a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 comeback against Alejandro Tabilo to reach the semifinals in Buenos Aires. The match momentum swung in the Argentine's favor after a stunning backhand passing shot from near the advertising boards to break at 4-4 in the 3rd set. It's the Argentine's first ATP Tour semifinal since last May and first ever in his home country.

🎾 Bubbling Up Alexander Bublik records his 200th career tour-level win with a 6-4, 6-7⁴, 7-6³, victory over Jaume Munar in Rotterdam. The world #10 is the first man representing Kazakhstan to hit that milestone in the Open Era. Winning 5 titles in the last 8 months will rack up those career stats.

🚨 Down and Out in Dubai World #1 Aryna Sabalenka and world #2 Iga Swiatek both withdraw from next week's Dubai WTA 1000, deepening the tour's scheduling standoff. Sabalenka hasn't played since the Australian Open final and cites not feeling 100%. Swiatek points to a schedule change after her Doha quarterfinal exit and plans to return at Indian Wells in March. Elena Rybakina takes over as Dubai's #1 seed for the first time at a WTA 1000.

👴 Still Ticking Stan Wawrinka, 40, is set to return to the Top 100 on Monday for the first time since July 2024. The 3-time slam champion will be the oldest man in the Top 100 by more than 2 years. His Rotterdam win over 17yo Thijs Boogaard this week marked the 2nd-largest age gap in ATP Tour history: 23 years and 3 months apart. Wawrinka plans to retire after this season.

🎾 Sold Out You might be outta luck if you wanna see Roger Federer's International Tennis Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The August 29 event sold out in 2 minutes, with all 4,500 tickets, including an outdoor watch party at Newport's 3,600-seat stadium, snapped up almost instantly. Federer will be inducted alongside broadcaster and former Roland-Garros mixed doubles champion Mary Carillo.

🏆 Icon Status Forbes names Billie Jean King one of America's greatest living innovators on its Innovator 250 list. King earns the honor for catalyzing women's professional sports through the founding of the WTA in 1973. The recognition arrives as part of Forbes' celebration of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.
