🏆 Alcaraz Writes History Carlos Alcaraz rallies from a set down to defeat Novak Djokovic, 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, 7-5, to win the men's singles AO title and become the youngest man ever to complete the career grand slam. Well, except for Tokito Oda, who achieved the same feat in wheelchair tennis as a 19yo... yesterday!

🏆 Fine Without Ferrero Alcaraz's much talked-about split with his Juan Carlos Ferrero dominated the offseason headlines. But, winning Melbourne in his first tournament since the break-up answers any lingering questions about whether he needed Ferrero to win the big ones. He didn't.

🌟 Not Another Teen Titan 16yo Ksenia Efremova defeats Ekaterina Tupitsyna, 6-3, 7-5, to lift the AO Girls' Singles trophy. Born in Moscow, Efremova moved to France in 2022 and trains at the Mouratoglou Academy. And, yes. Patrick Mouratoglou was on hand for a soundbite or 12.

👶 Casper Ruud is a Daddy! The Norwegian announced the birth of his daughter on January 30th, just days after his Australian Open exit to Ben Shelton. Ruud returns to action February 9th in Dallas... maybe with a diaper genie in his racket bag.

💔 Lorenzo's a No-Go Lorenzo Musetti pulls out of two South American "Golden Swing" events due to injury. He plans to resurface on the hardcourts of Acapulco ahead of Indian Wells and Miami.
